The 30th Annual Holiday House Tour of Distinctive Homes includes a visit to Ireland House.  Built between 1835 and 1837, Ireland House was the home of Joseph Ireland, one of Burlington's earliest settlers. During this 30th Annual Holiday Houe Tour, experience this Burlington treasure, its architecture and special decor, ornamented in the manner of a Victorian Chrismas.  Immerse yourself within the nuances and atmosphere of a period home and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone era.  Highlights include the home's parlour, dining room and hearth where you can stop to sample fresh baked cookies and hot cider.

Throughout the weekend, the new 'How-To' Demonstrations, offering tips on decorating and entertaining, will take place at Ireland House.  While you're at Ireland House be sure to allow enough time to enjoy some fresh baked cookies and hot cider.

About the watercolour artist
Rod Adam grew up in Dundee, Scotland and spent his spare time working on tugboats on the River Tay and sketching scenes of ships and the harbour. He currently lives in Canada and continues to develop his love of painting. He is an award winning artist, has created magazine cover art, participated in exhibitions and conducted watercolour workshops.  Rod also maintains a painting and decorating business in the Golden Horsehoe area.  rodadampaints@hotmail.com
